In July 2025, I had the great privilege of participating in the Sion Music Festival (Tibor Varga) in Sion, a beautiful city in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. As one of the selected pianists for the Academy, I had the honor of studying with the renowned pianist Momo Kodama during the festival week.
Throughout the masterclasses, I worked on Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 31 and Chopin Nocturne Op, 48. No. 1, and I felt that my musical understanding of these pieces deepened profoundly through her artistic insight and perspective. Both works hold great personal significance for me, and I now view them from a more nuanced and multi-layered angle — something for which I am deeply grateful to Momo Kodama.
In addition to the public masterclasses, the festival featured numerous concerts where selected young artists, including myself, performed daily. It was a week filled with inspiration, exchange, and artistic growth.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my sponsors, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Beckendorff and Prof. Dr. med. Mark Goepel, for their generous support.
